Description
The race will start in Old Town Scottsdale. Teams will be given a set of clues to their destinations. All clues are mandatory on this race!
Each destination will be either a challenge or a photo stop. Challenges could be mental, such as unscrambling words or solving puzzles. There may also be physical challenge such as jumping rope, building a tower with blocks. At a photo stop destination, you will be required to take a picture of your team at the location to prove you were there.
Course
Teams will make their way on foot or via public transportation to the destinations. There is no right or wrong route. This is where the strategy comes in! Will the fastest runner beat Ollie the Trolley? Is it worth waiting for a bus when your feet might get you there sooner? Sorry, but hitching a ride, any sort of cycle (motorized or not), private transport (i.e. cabs, cars, pedicabs, ets) are all considered cheating.
Good to Know
All sorts of technology are allowed to help solve the clues and find your destinations. Go high-tech with your Blackberry, your i-Phone, your GPS and go low-tech with a city map and the phone number of a friend. An off-course ally stationed at a computer could be your MVP teammate! Early Registration (by July 3, 2010): $90 per team
Not-so-Early Registration (July 4 - July 17, 2010): $100 per team
Day-of Registration: $100 per team (cash only)
